Overview: Matematikk for økonomi og samfunnsfag er skrevet for metodekurset i det treårige bachelorstudiet i økonomi og administrasjon og ligger tett opp til rammeplanen for studiet. Boken kan også benyttes på høyskoler og universiteter som innleder studiet med et kurs i matematikk/statistikk/metode tilsvarende fem til ti studiepoeng.Boken er lagt opp for studenter med lite matematisk kompetanse. Det første kapitlet, «Grunnleggende emner (med bootcamp-øvelser i regning)», kan leses som et forkurs.Forfatterne har lagt mer vekt på å utvikle leserens intuitive matematiske forståelse enn teorigjennomgang og bevisførsel. Eksempler og oppgaver er valgt med tanke på at leseren skal bli fortrolig med reelle problemer fra økonomi og samfunnsfag.Til lærebokens oppgaver finnes en egen løsningsbok, Matematikk for økonomi og samfunnsfag. Løsningsforslag, som gir deg detaljerte løsninger på omtrent halvparten av oppgavene i boken, samt fasitsvar på de øvrige oppgavene.9. utgave er revidert av Njål Foldnes og Steffen Grønneberg. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Worth the time and money.
