Overview: This book demystifies concepts relating to ecology and sustainable development at a time when these ideas are being introduced into the primary school curriculum. Written in non-academic language, it provides a wide range of illustrative examples reflecting the everyday experiences of teachers and children. But simply explaining eco-literacy would not be enough to make a difference to teachers' practice. This book is the first step: it sets out to convince teachers of the importance of this and offers them guidance on conveying it to their pupils in the primary classroom.

I was pleasantly surprised. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.

Glad someone recommended this to me. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Will be looking for more from this author.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.
