Pourtant tout les oppose : il est d'un milieu aisé, même si il ne le fréquente guère, elle ne connait pas sa vraie famille. Il a fait des études de sport à Winsted, roule en 4x4, elle est pauvre et sans-papiers. Leur apprentissage de la vie commune semble compromis par leur entourage, même les copains de Boby, qui n'en sont plus à un dérapage près par amour, semblent leur tourner le dos. Comment Mila peut-elle accepter cette vie qu'elle a pourtant rêvée ? Comment Boby fera-t-il comprendre à Mila qu'elle compte plus que tout à ses yeux ? Il leur faudra une grande dose de délicatesse et d'écoute pour enfin admettre que les barrières sont faites pour être écartées. Jane Devreaux prouve encore une fois avec Boby, son sens aigu des difficultés du passage de la jeunesse à l'âge adulte, et crée 2 personnages que l'on est pas près d'oublier.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Glad I picked this up.

Finished it in a couple of days. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Glad I picked this up.

It was okay. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.
