Overview: Evliyâ Çelebi, Seyahatnâme’sinin altıncı cildinde seyahatini tamamen Avrupa’da geçirmiştir. Elinizde bulunan bu altıncı cilt doğu Avrupa ve özellikle Macaristan tarihi açısından çok önemlidir. Konunun öneminin farkında olan Macarlar (Macar Encümen-i Dâniş’i), Osmanlı döneminde eski harflerle basılan altıncı cildin baskısına yardım etmişti. Hatta Macar Türkolog Armin Vambery bu cilde bir “Dîbâce” yazmıştır. Evliyâ Çelebi’nin gezip dolaştığı pek çok ülkede olduğu gibi Macaristan’da da o gün mevcut olan kaleler, şehirler, kasabalar ve köylerden pek çoğu günümüze gelememiş ve tarihe karışmıştır.
