Overview: There are seven Shaws, each one with their own story to tell. This is the story of Jordy and Russell–when friendship turns into something else... Jordyn and Russell's is a story that started before either of them knew there was one to tell. They grew up together in a quaint neighborhood, Russell an only child, and Jordyn the fifth of seven. The two were best friends with a love for music that bound them together since they were old enough to memorize the alphabet, but only one of them loved music enough to make it into super stardom. Along with Jordyn's fame came a lengthy rift in she and Russell's lifelong friendship, due to a misunderstanding that Russell was too stubborn to address. And for a while, it seemed that all of the cherished memories they created growing up would be the only ones they'd ever share. Luckily, stubbornness did not prevail, and the two were reunited with forgiveness in tow. The rift between them offered time for changes that neither of them expected from the other. Feelings emerged that had never been present, adding an element to their relationship that was impossible to ignore, but too complicated to face head on. Standing in the face of fate and an undeniable connection that even time could not erase, Jordyn and Russel were facing the decision to either continue playing in the same key, or rewrite the chorus of their friendship in its entirety.

I have mixed feelings about this one. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. Enjoyable weekend read.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Will be looking for more from this author.

Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Glad I picked this up.
