Discover You Have Three Selves: Simply the Clearest Model of the Whole Person, 2nd ed, Vol. 1: Orientation (Best Practices in Energy Medicine) by Bruce Dickson. Start reading today and explore ideas, insights, and experiences that stay with you.

Overview: The Three Selves is the simplest, most elegant model, of the whole person yet proposed. The endgame is not theory or mind. The endgame is re-uniting Oneness and wholeness. For those who persist in self-connection, connecting with the child within and the Bigger you, you became a “wise elder” no matter what your physical age is. In brief the model proposes two helper selves supporting a middle, rational, Conscious Self, either thinking or feeling-dominant, 1) A lower frequency Basic Self, an 'immune system self,' known by many names: inner child, etheric body, Habit Body, etc. 2) A higher frequency High Self, a Guardian Angel, who provides access to higher spiritual potentials as-needed. The High Self stands for how each individual does—or does not—connect with our own Divinity, living with 'God as my Partner.' Three Selves is the Western version of Ho'oponopono, Hawaiian shamanism, Huna-Kahuna. Hawaiian Kahunas preserved this philosophy of the whole person, emphatically placing human beings in a spiritual context, acknowledging reincarnation. While much attention has been paid to the Huna practice of self-forgiveness, the 3S has its greatest utility as a model of the whole-person. The Three Selves remains the strongest candidate for a "Big Tent" in holistic psychology. Thru its lens, growth methods and practices of every kind can be discussed objectively. Clarity on other models can be gained by viewing them thru the Three Selves. This is the revised, shorter, second edition of the first comprehensive textbook attempted so far, volume 1 of 2. Written in an interactive, fun style by a Waldorf-trained school teacher and Health Intuitive. The 3S is body-based, not theoretical, nothing "quantum" here. The inner child, the lowest one-third of the Three Selves, remains the most widely used holistic model of the human being at this time. This is because of its versatility for counselors, healers, and therapists. Three Selves model is the whole; inner child is one third. A map is not the territory; yet, the better the map, the easier you can get around. Compose your own vision of the whole-person. This is source code for the human psyche, the nature of human nature. Each of the Three Selves is accessible thru self-muscle-testing of all kinds, useful for verifying and validating your own subjective impressions and intuitions. If a simpler, clearer map-model of the hologram of the whole person exists, please contact me. We will all gladly move on to that one. The Three Selves is FUN! Pop cultural reflections are all around us and are taken up in Vol. 2. The two volumes of the 3S show the strong natural connections between the 3S and: - Emotional IQ, - Compassionate (nonviolent) Communication, - psychotherapy and body-based psychotherapies, - talk therapy of all kinds, - Transactional Analysis, - NLP and Brief Therapy.

It was okay. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. Just right down the middle.

I liked it for the most part. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Not bad at all.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Still a good book.
