It had always been one of his favorite places and buying it out was a dream come true. BOOK #3 PREVIEW Lucas jumped off his porch and stared up at the sky. It was a dangerous looking day. The trees whipped around him, bending like licorice. He furrowed his eyebrows in concern. The tornado siren hadn't gone off yet, but he was sure that this was the exact weather for one to form in. He watched the dark clouds as they swirled above his head, and felt a twinge of nervousness in the pit of his stomach. BOOK #4 PREVIEW Alex stared off into the distance. He was really hoping for something to inspire him, his canvas wasn't going to paint itself. He was tired of doing nature stills and animals, even though he loved them he wanted something fresh. He was starting to lose his spark. Painting the same kind of thing over and over again wasn't really his idea of staying inspired. BOOK #5 PREVIEW Paul ran toward the bus and cursed as it sped off without him. He tried waving his briefcase to catch the driver's attention, but it hadn't worked. People were staring out the window at him, and he knew what they were thinking, because he had thought the same thing several times before. “I should have told the driver to wait,” He sighed and hung his head. BOOK #6 PREVIEW Philip woke and stretched. The morning was drizzly and grey. He wasn't sure if it would be a great day to go out and jog. In fact, he really didn't want to do much of anything. But he had a routine to follow, and not going out would have made him feel worse than staying in. No need for that, he thought, and dressed quickly in his track clothes. He brushed his teeth and grabbed a banana, which he ate in three large bites on his way to putting his shoes on and grabbing his headphones. He would go around the block at least, and listen to his favorite musician singing passionate love ballads. Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. A solid 4 stars from me.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. Not bad at all.
