Overview: 'कुबड़ा' केवल एक किरदार ही नहीं, बल्कि एक पहेली है। ऐसी पहेली, जिसमे आप भी ठीक उसी तरह उलझकर रह जायेंगे, जैसे इस उपन्यास के प्रमुख पात्र। कुबड़ा 'जुर्म की माँ' नामक उपन्यास की घटनाओं के बाद घटित होता है। धामू , गुल्लू ,चण्डू ,सोफी और पल्ली बचपन में गहरे दोस्त थे जिन्हें पांच जिस्म एक जान भी कहा जाता था। लेकिन हालात के चलते वो जेल की कालकोठरी में बंद थे और एक दूसरे को पहचानते भी नहीं थे। वे अब धर्म , गोपाल , चण्डाल,सोफिया और पल्लवी थे। फिर उन्होंने जेल से भागने का प्लान बनाया और इसमें आखिर उनकी मदद एक शख्स ने की जो केवल 'कुबड़ा' नाम से जाना जाता था। कौन था ये कुबड़ा ? वहीँ दूसरे तरफ ड्रग सिंडिकेट को चलाने वाले हिंगले को भी इन पाँचों की ज़रुरत है। दोनों क्यों इन पाँचों के पीछे पड़े हैं और ये इन दोनों में से किसका साथ देंगे ?

A very satisfying read. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Would probably read it again at some point.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. Enjoyable weekend read.
