Overview: In het debat over eicelinvriezing overheersen extreme stellingen. Er lijken maar twee kampen te zijn. De voorstanders juichen de reproductieve technologie toe als een bijdrage aan de vrouwenemancipatie. Als hulpmiddel grijpt hij naar de ideeën van eigentijdse feministische filosofen.Zijn voorstel luidt om eicelinvriezing te bestuderen als een verantwoordelijkheidspraktijk. Het is dus iets wat je niet zomaar in harde morele regels kunt gieten, maar alleen kunt begrijpen vanuit de ethische reflecties van de betrokken vrouwen zelf.Uniek is de methode die de auteur hanteert. Hij maakt gebruik van eenentwintig gesprekken met vrouwen die interesse hebben om hun eicellen in te vriezen. Deze conversaties brachten nieuwe ethische fricties naar voren. A solid read. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. A solid 4 stars from me.

Pretty good overall. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Enjoyable weekend read.
