Overview: "A Shot of Brandi" is the the first installment in the Philadelphia Crime Series. The story introduces the Organized Crime Task Force, a group of Philly's finest crime solvers who persue high profile cases. However in this first story, they are saddled with two cases at the same time. The first involves Rick Grosse, a low level and likeable crime figure who provides hsi customers with everything from women to sports events to illegal materials, trying to stay under the radar. At the same time, two apparent mob hits grip the city of Philadelphia who have had their fair share of such violence in its history. Stephen Davis leads a group of crime fighters in his quest to solve these two cases, but not every clue and circumstance are what they appear to be. Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.

Good, but not quite perfect. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. A solid 4 stars from me.

Such a great read. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. A solid 5/5 for me.

A very satisfying read. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
