En verdad, si hoy la palabra estructuralismo corresponde a algo, 'ese algo es por cierto una manera nueva de plantear y de explotar los problemas en las ciencias que tratan del signo. 'Moustafa Safouan, psicoanalista, es miembro de la escuela freudiana de París que dirige Jacques Lacan y ha traducido al árabe La interpretación de los sueños de Freud. Con respecto a El estructuralismo en psicoanálisis aclara: 'El psicoanálisis es el descubrimiento de un ámbito, el del inconsciente, y de una dinámica que se desarrolla en ese ámbito, urdida totalmente alrededor del complejo de Edipo y, en particular, de su momento esencial, la castración. Hacer una exposición acerca del psicoanálisis significa, pues, exponer estos dos conceptos: el inconscientes y la castración. Nuestro objetivo consiste en mostrar que el Edipo no es el mito en el que se revelan tus líneas de fuerza y menos aún el drama por él determinado en la experiencia vivida de cada uno, sino una estructura de acuerdo con la cual se ordena el deseo en la medida en que constituye un efecto de la relación del ser humano, no con lo social, sino con el lenguaje.Sobre el autor:M. Safouan nació en Alejandría. Letrado, filósofo, descubre la obra freudiana en 1940, en Egipto. Es a principios de los años cincuenta cuando conoce a Lacan y su enseñanza: "Hablaba del padre real, símbólico e imaginario. Esta orientación hacia la noción del padre no natural marca el principio de mi transferencia a Lacan". Retorna a Egipto en 1953 y emprende la traducción de La interpretación de los sueños.

Such a great read. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

I liked it for the most part. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
