Overview: वेद की अतुलनीय महिमा वेदों को अपौरुषेय कहा गया है। भारतीय धर्म संस्कृति एवं सभ्यता का भव्य प्रसाद जिस दृढ़ आधारसिला पर प्रतिष्ठित है, उसे वेद के नाम से जाना जाता है। भारतीय आचार-विचार, रहन-सहन तथा धर्म-कर्म को भली-भाँति समझने के लिए वेदों का ज्ञान बहुत आवश्यक है। सम्पूर्ण धर्म-कर्म का मूल तथा यथार्थ कर्त्तव्य-धर्म की जिज्ञासा वाले लोगों के लिए ‘वेद’ सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रमाण हैं। ‘वेदोंऽखिलो धर्ममूलम्’, ‘धर्मं जिज्ञासमानानां प्रमाणं परमं श्रुतिः’ (मनु. 2.6, 13) जैसे शास्त्रवचन इसी रहस्य का उद्घाटन करते हैं। वस्तुतः ‘वेद’ शाश्वत-यथार्थ ज्ञान राशि के समुच्चय हैं, जिसे साक्षात्कृतधर्मा ऋषियों ने अपने प्रातिभ चक्षु से देखा है—अनुभव किया है। ऋषियों ने अपने मन या बुद्धि से कोई कल्पना न करके एक शाश्वत अपौरुषेय सत्य की, अपनी चेतना के उच्चतम स्तर पर अनुभूति की और उसे मंत्रों का रूप दिया। वे चेतना क्षेत्र की रहस्यमयी गुत्थियों को अपनी आत्मसत्ता रूपा प्रयोगशाला में सुलझाकर सत्य का अनुशीलन करके उसे शक्तिशाली काव्य के रूप में अभिव्यक्त करते रहे हैं। वेद स्वयं इनके बारे में कहता है—‘सत्यश्रुतः कवयः’’ (ऋ.5.57.8) अर्थात् ‘‘दिव्य शाश्वत सत्य का श्रवण करने वाले द्रष्टा महापुरुष।’’ इसी आधार पर वेदों को ‘श्रुति’ कहकर पुकारा गया। यदि श्रुति का भावात्मक अर्थ लिया जाय, तो वह है स्वयं साक्षात्कार किये गये ज्ञान का भाण्डागार। इस तरह समस्त धर्मों के मूल के रूप में माने जाने वाले, देवसंस्कृति के रत्न-वेद हमारे समक्ष ज्ञान के एक पवित्र कोष के रूप में आते हैं। ईश्वरीय प्रेरणा से अन्तःस्फुरण (इलहाम) के रूप में ‘‘आत्मवत् सर्वभूतेषु’’ की भावना से सराबोर ऋषियों द्वारा उनका अवतरण सृष्टि के आदिकाल में हुआ।वेदों की ऋचाओं में निहित ज्ञान अनन्त है तथा उनकी शिक्षाओं में मानव-मात्र ही नहीं, वरन् समस्त सृष्टि के जीवधारियों-घटकों के कल्याण एवं सुख की भावना निहित है। उसी का वे उपदेश करते हैं। इस प्रकार वे किसी धर्म या सम्प्रदाय विशेष को दृष्टिगत रख अपनी बात नहीं कहते। उनकी शिक्षा में छपे मूल तत्त्व अपरिवर्तनीय हैं, हर काल-समय-परिस्थिति में वे लागू होते हैं तथा आज की परिस्थितियों में भी पूर्णतः व्यावहारिक एवं विशुद्ध विज्ञान सम्मत हैं।भारतीय परम्परा ‘वेद’ के सर्व ज्ञानमय होने की घोषणा करती है—‘भूतं भव्यं भविष्यञ्च सर्वं वेदात् प्रसिध्यति।’ (मनु.12.97) अर्थात् भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्यत सम्बन्धी सम्पूर्ण ज्ञान का आधार वेद है। आचार्य सायण ने कृष्ण यजुर्वेद की तैत्ति. सं. के उपोद्घात में स्वयमेव लिखा है— प्रत्क्षेणानुमित्या वा यस्तूपायो न बुध्यते।एनं विदन्ति वेदेन तस्माद् वेदस्य वेदता।। अर्थात्-प्रत्यक्ष अथवा अनुमान प्रमाण से जिस तत्त्व (विषय) का ज्ञान प्राप्त नहीं हो रहा हो, उसका ज्ञान भी वेदों के द्वारा हो जाता है। यही वेदों का वेदत्व है। दृष्टाओं का मत है कि वेद श्रेठतम ज्ञान–पराचेतना के गर्भ में सदैव से स्थित रहते हैं। परिष्कृत-चेतना-सम्पन्न ऋषियों के माध्यम से वे प्रत्येक कल्प में प्रकट होते हैं। कल्पान्त में पुनः वहीं समा जाते हैं। आचार्य शंकर ने अपने ‘शारीरिक –भाष्य’ में वेदान्त सूत्र —‘अतएव च नित्यत्वम्’ की व्याख्या में महाभारत का यह श्लोक उद्धृत किया है—युगान्तेऽन्तर्हितान् वेदान् सेतिहासान् महर्षयः। लेभिरे तपसा पूर्वमनुज्ञाताः स्वयंभुवा।। ‘युग के अन्त में वेदों का अन्तर्धान हो जाता है। सृष्टि के आदि में स्वयंभू के द्वारा महर्षि लोगों ने उन्हीं वेदों को इतिहास के साथ अपनी तपस्या के बल से प्राप्त किया।’ ऐसा भी प्रसिद्धि है कि परमात्मा ने सृष्टि के प्रारम्भ में ही ‘वेद’ के रूप में अपेक्षित ज्ञान का प्रकाश कर दिया। महाभारत में ही महर्षि वेदव्यास ने इस सत्य का उद्घाटन करते हुए लिखा है—अनादि निधना नित्या वागुत्सृष्टा स्वयम्भुवा। आदौ वेदमयी दिव्या यतः सर्वाः प्रवृत्तयः (महा. शा. प. 232, 24)। अर्थात्—सृष्टि के प्रारम्भ में स्वयंभू परमात्मा से ऐसी दिव्य वाणी (वेद) का प्रादुर्भाव हुआ, जो नित्य है और जिससे संसार की गतिविधियाँ चलीं। स्थूल बुद्धि से यह अवधारणा अटपटी सी-कल्पित सी लगती है, किन्तु है सत्य। आज के विकसित विज्ञान के सन्दर्भ से उसे समझने का प्रयास करें, तो बात कुछ स्पष्ट हो सकती है। कम्प्यूटर तंत्र के अंतर्गत मास्टर के साथ माइक्रोवेव टावर्स (सूक्ष्म तरंग प्रणाली) द्वारा विभिन्न कम्प्यूटर केन्द्र जुड़े रहते हैं। रेलवे टिकिट बुकिंग से लेकर अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय आँकड़ों के तन्त्रों में आज यह प्रणाली प्रयुक्त है। प्रत्यक्ष में कम्प्यूटरों के पर्दे पर इच्छित आँकड़े या सूत्र उभरते रहते हैं। यदि कोई कम्प्यूटर केन्द्र बिगड़ जाए अथवा नष्ट हो जाए तो उस अंकित आँकड़े नष्ट या लुप्त हो गये से लगते तो हैं, किंतु वास्तव में वे मास्टर कम्प्यूटर में समा जाते हैं, वहाँ सुरक्षित रहते हैं। कालान्तर में कम्प्यूटर केन्द्र पुनः स्थापित होने पर वे ही सूत्र पुनः पर्दों पर आने लगते हैं। उक्त विधा के अनुरूप ही पराचेतना में मास्टर कम्प्यूटर की तरह समस्त ज्ञान स्थित है। विभिन्न लोकों और विभिन्न कालों में वहाँ विकसित उच्च-परिष्कृत मानस कम्प्यूटर केन्द्रों की भूमिका निभाते रहते हैं। कभी भूलोक आदि किसी लोक का तन्त्र नष्ट या अस्त-व्स्त हो जाने से वह ज्ञान नष्ट नहीं होता। यह अवधारणा चेतना-विज्ञान का क, ख, ग समझने वालों को भी अटपटी नहीं लगनी चाहिए। नेति-नेति उपनिषद् की यह अवधारणा कि वह पूर्ण है और यह भी पूर्ण है। पूर्ण से ही पूर्ण का उदय-विकास होता है। उस पूर्ण में से यह पूर्ण प्राप्त कर लेने पर भी वह पूर्ण ही रहता है— पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते।पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय, पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते।। अस्तु वेद का वह सनातन भाण्डागार पूर्ण है। उससे प्रकट यह वेद भी पूर्ण हैं, क्योंकि समकालीन सृष्टि तन्त्र का पूर्ण ज्ञान इसमें रहता है। ...
