Overview: The Great Penguin Rescue tells the extraordinary true story of the world's largest rescue of oiled animals.On June 23, 2000, a ship sank off the coast of South Africa, spilling 1,300 tons of oil, and threatening to kill 40,000 African penguins. I was pleasantly surprised. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Will be looking for more from this author.
